MergeDoc
Turn every row of a Google Sheets™ spreadsheet into a Google Docs™ document or PDF. Certificates, letters, contracts, invoices — one file per row, from a template you write in Google Docs.
How it works
- Write a Google Docs template with tags like
{{Name}}(Autocrat-style<<Name>>tags work too). - Open MergeDoc from Extensions in your spreadsheet, choose the template and an output folder.
- Click Run. Each row gets its own Doc and/or PDF, and a status, link and time are written next to the row.

- File names from your columns, e.g.
{{Name}} - Certificate. - Tags in the body, tables, headers and footers.
- Only merge rows that match a condition.
- Run automatically on each new Google Forms™ response.
- Safe re-runs: rows already marked OK are never created twice; re-run only the rows with errors.
- Narrow permissions: MergeDoc only opens the spreadsheet you use it in and the files you pick or it creates — not your whole Drive or Gmail.
